Often while performing backups, you often need an automated way to exclude or include certain types of files or folders the Quick Backup client software backup filter defines the file selection rules that allow user to easily include/exclude files into/from the backup set by applying user defined criteria(s) to the file names or directory names.
We do this with a feature called a Backup Filter. The Backup Filter is specific to each job/BackupSet, and each job can contain multiple filters.
The Backup Filter is a feature helping you to fine-tune your Backup profiles and further customise them by extending your search area while including only specific files or folders. Thus, you can save online storage space by backing up only specific types of files.
